Qualifications Born in Hong Kong, with over 14 years of full-time teaching experience, holding Grade 8 qualifications in drums from Trinity College London and Grade 8 – Distinction in violin from the Royal Academy of Music. Currently the drummer for the Vnighters band (Metalcore) and Anticlockwise band (Alternative), participated in various large performances including The Underground – Heavy 11, Silver Mine Bay Music Festival, Let The Songs Take Flight, etc. In terms of violin, served as the first violinist of the VTC Symphony Orchestra and participated in many performances around the world, including the National Grand Theatre in Beijing, Shenzhen Concert Hall, Shanghai Expo, as well as local large performances at the City Hall, Cultural Centre, etc.; previously taught violin, drums, and African drums at various primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong, including Kowloon Tong York Kindergarten, Yuen Long Rhine Kindergarten, Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Ko Hin Memorial Primary School, Lai Ching Catholic Secondary School, etc.; also served as a judge for the International Music Arts Competition (violin). Teaching Methods and Student Achievements With over 14 years of full-time teaching experience, the pass rate of students taking exams at the Royal Academy of Music and Trinity College London is 100%, with many students achieving Grade 8, including Merit and Distinction, and multiple students achieving outstanding results in inter-school music festivals. Students taught range in age from 3 to 75 years, including individual and group lessons. Being loving and extremely patient, I am skilled at guiding students in their learning, inspiring their potential, and proficient in communicating with students to find the most suitable teaching plans and tailoring the instruction to individual needs. Courses are designed to be progressively deeper, making drumming easy to learn while being interesting, and also emphasize basic techniques and postures to enable students to apply what they learn practically; I excel at inspiring students to learn independently, encouraging them to practice at home; through student-teacher ensemble, students can strengthen their sense of rhythm, and ensemble can also enhance students’ musical performance skills; in addition to drumming techniques and music theory knowledge, I will also teach students about music history, ultimately allowing students to achieve outstanding results in a fun environment while cultivating a strong interest in music.
